Course Description
This course provide participants with the opportunity to explore the notion of leadership in educational contexts. The Leader Within is an inspiring course which aims at helping middle leaders or prospective leaders working in the education sector to become aware of their leadership potential by exploring the leader as a person and the values, attributes and skills required to take on the challenge of being a leader in today’s schools. The focus of this course will be on the values that make for an effective leader; the ‘soft’ skills (inter and intrapersonal); on developing collaborative and collegial models to develop the school. Throughout this highly practical and interactive course, participants will be involved in professional discussions, sharing ideas and good practices, as well as hands-on activities. The ultimate aim is to equip participants with innovative leadership ideas that can transform a whole school’s philosophy, build capacity and enhance the performance of the school as a community of learners.
