Course Description

This course provides participants with the opportunity to explore various ways in which the 12 areas of the 21st Century skills, namely: Critical thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, Information literacy, Media literacy, Technology literacy, Flexibility, Leadership, Initiative, Productivity and Social skills can be successfully integrated in a cross-curricular approach within the school curriculum. The participants will undergo training in curriculum design which will help them to draw a tailor-made model for the schools in which the participants work. The course will provide a unique hands-on, training opportunity to participants where it will provide strategies to address key questions, including:

  • What are 21st Century skills?
  • What relevance do they have for our students?
  • How can 21st Century Skills be integrated in a cross-curricular approach?
  • How are 21st Century skills taught in schools?
  • What are the challenges educators are currently facing?
